Privacy Notice

libre is the data controller for the personal data you provide when using LibreArchive. This means libre decides how and why your data is processed. Our online reseller, Paddle.com, acts as the Merchant of Record for paid orders; Paddle is a separate data controller for the payment data it collects (see section 5).

We collect the following categories of personal data:

• Account data: your email address and login credentials when you create an account, and a name if you provide one.
• Content you save: the links, notes and files you upload into your workspaces, including file names, types and sizes.
• Usage data: device and browser information, IP address, and logs of how you use the service, used for security and product improvement.
• Subscription data: your plan status and billing period, which we receive from Paddle to activate Pro features.

We process your data to provide the service and your account (contract performance), to keep the service secure and prevent fraud (legitimate interests), to improve LibreArchive (legitimate interests), and to meet any legal obligations (legal obligation). Where we rely on legitimate interests, we balance them against your privacy rights.

We share your data with the following categories of recipients:

• Hosting and service providers: infrastructure that stores your account and content, and tools that help us run LibreArchive.
• Paddle (Merchant of Record): for the sale of LibreArchive Pro, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing. Paddle collects and controls your payment data directly.
• Professional advisers: legal and accounting advisors where needed.
• Authorities: where required by law.

Your data may be processed by providers located outside your country. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions to protect your data.

We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active. After you close your account, your data is deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period. Subscription records are kept as long as needed for accounting and legal requirements.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, object to processing, withdraw consent, and complain to your local data protection authority. To exercise these rights, contact libre through your account or support channels.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, and access controls that limit who can reach your account and content.

LibreArchive uses essential cookies to keep you signed in and the service working. We do not use marketing cookies. You can manage or clear cookies in your browser settings; essential cookies are required for the service to function.

LibreArchive is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has registered, contact libre so we can remove the account.

We may update this Privacy Notice as the service evolves. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email.
